ABOUT
Miquela Grimalt Vigo is an environmental lawyer and governance consultant. Law degree, Universitat de les Illes Balears; Master in political science of developing countries policies, Université de Louvain-la-Neuve, and Postgraduate degree in environmental business management, Universitat de Barcelona.
She has acted as adviser to several governments and public institutions, as well as to private bodies and non-for-profit organisations. She has been a civil servant within various specialized public institutions. Thanks to this background, she has developed a cross-cutting approach to environmental law, a deep understanding, as well as a practical vision, of its implementation process and its governance linked side.
Her main working tool is the legal framework that impacts, or might impact, in the switch to an environmentally sustainable society, by regulating the protection of the biodiversity, the ecosystems, the sea and land natural areas, the landscape; the climate change adaptation and mitigation; the use of natural resources; the water integrated cycle; the waste prevention and management; the review of production or tourism models, among others.
Environmental law and governance are in constant evolution and growth. Thus, she is used to deal with new and unprecedented issues, and to offer innovative services.
Often, she is involved in multidisciplinary professional teams.
Her working languages are Catalan, Spanish, English, French and Italian.
